Captured in Wisconsin, Printed To Last
From Lens To Living Room
Standing in solemn tribute, the Civil War monument in front of the Rock County Courthouse honors the memory of the local soldiers and sailors who served during the war between 1861–1865. Erected in 1903, the statue of a Union soldier rises proudly at the top of Lower Courthouse Park, facing outward toward the city of Janesville with quiet strength and resolve.
Behind the statue, the modern architecture of the Rock County Courthouse forms a striking contrast to the historic significance of the sculpture. Also visible in the background is the Parker Place building and the residential charm of Janesville's courthouse district.
Captured by Nicodemas Nimmo of Full Spectrum Photography, this piece reflects his signature approach—community-focused, emotionally rich, and deeply connected to place. Based in Janesville, Nicodemas brings authentic Wisconsin stories to life through his lens.
